How to prepare files for printing
Preparing print files correctly is crucial; therefore, below you’ll find clear requirements for accepted formats and export settings. Moreover, thanks to these rules, roll label printing runs smoothly and without delays.
Accepted and recommended format: PDF
- All fonts converted to outlines or properly embedded.
- Resolution: 300–350 dpi.
- Bleeds and inner margins: 3 mm each.
- Crop marks placed outside the bleed area.
- All design elements in CMYK.
- No transparency: PDF 1.3 (Acrobat 4.0) (set during export).
- No overprints (set during export).
Accepted and recommended format: TIFF
- Scale 1:1.
- Resolution: 300–350 dpi.
- Bleeds and inner margins: 3 mm each.
- No layers – flattened file.
- Recommended compression: LZW.
Not recommended: PSD (save to PDF or TIFF if possible)
- Scale 1:1.
- Resolution: 300–350 dpi.
- Bleeds and inner margins: 3 mm each.
- Color mode: CMYK.
- Fonts rasterized.
- No layers – flattened file.
Not recommended: CDR (save to PDF or TIFF if possible)
- All fonts converted to outlines.

- Save in CorelDRAW X6 version or lower.
Not allowed in digital printing
- JPG, PNG – treated only as preview files.
- DOC, XLS.
